Reading Time: ( Word Count: )

I had the joy of coming across Kemi Nekvapil via our mutual friend, the wonderful Julie Parker and have watched with awe at all the incredible things Kemi is doing in the world as a coach, speaker, writer, and SO much more.

When I stumbled upon her SBS article about being an introvert on a year-long trip around Australia with her family (where she discovered Susan Cain’s Quiet), I knew I had to have her on the podcast.

It means so much to me that she mentions in the episode how much she loves the League of Extraordinary Introverts podcast, and she has so much incredible value and absolute gems of wisdom to share with us.

In this episode, we talk about:

    • Learning to create safe spaces for ourselves and our clients;

    • The life changing discovery Kemi had reading Quiet by Susan Cain;

    • Free trait theory and doing work in alignment with your strengths and values;

    •
    • Learning to ASK for what you need, and why women have started to believe we need to ‘go it alone’;

    •
    • Learning to receive and why it’s so important for EVERYTHING;

    •
    • Being the ‘good girl’ and, in particular the ‘good black girl’ growing up and trying to unravel that over time;

    •
    • The importance of uncomfortable conversations and how they connect us;
