Happy Friday, friends!
I hope that your week has been full of wonderful moments and you’ve had the chance to take pause throughout the week and indulge in some pure gratitude. I know I’ve been making a real effort and when I met Clare from the Top Five Movement, I realised even more how important it is.
There is something magical in sharing (or even acknowledging in a notebook in private) the things that light you up and really make you happy in your day-to-day life.
So, with that in mind, I decided to put together a list of the Top Five things making my life more beautiful this week.
1. Top Five Movement
I couldn’t kick off this post without a shout out to Clare Desira, creator of the Top Five Movement. I’ve definitely become more mindful over the past year or so but she has taken it up a notch and after watching her TedX talk, she has inspired me to jump on board. I thought you might find it a pretty special idea too and if you check out her explanation, you’ll understand why:
The best thing about writing down things your grateful for each day is that you can start so specifically (I’m grateful for my family, my incredible relationship, my health, etc, etc) but as you go on and on through the days, weeks, and years, I get the feeling that you start to notice more and more of the little things to include in your Top 5.
I’m committed to keeping up with Clare and joining her plight to live a more fulfilled and happy life through the simplicity of this list (partly because I love lists!).

2. Beautiful You Life Coaching Course
I haven’t really talked a lot about the Beautiful You Coaching Course around here (although I have been sharing a bit of behind the scenes on Instagram and Facebook), but this has become one of the most significant learning experiences of my life. Not only have I had the chance to learn from Julie Parker, my coach and mentor, but the women in this group are extraordinary and the course work connects with me and what I’m doing here at The Beauty Of Life on a heart and soul level.
If you’ve ever thought about becoming a life coach, I could not recommend the Beautiful You Life Coaching Course enough. And if you’ve ever thought about working with a life coach, I’ve got a great offering until the end of March, check it out here.)
3. My wonderful friends launching their new kick ass sites
Not one but two of my very good friends have launched their newly branded, sparkly sites in the past week or so. I’ve been so inspired watching both Elizabeth and Jessica grow their businesses over the past year that I’ve known them and I’m so grateful to be part of a community of women who find joy in lifting each other up and celebrating the success of each other. It’s so exciting to see the way women are succeeding in business online and the way we can work together to help each other out.

4. The book that I’ve been reading
I have just finished reading is called Broken Open by Elizabeth Lesser.
“If we can stay awake when our lives are changing, secrets will be revealed to us—secrets about ourselves, about the nature of life, and about the eternal source of happiness and peace that is always available, always renewable, already within us.”
—ELIZABETH LESSER
Whilst this book deals with a lot of serious, life changing moments, I have found it incredibly helpful dealing with the massive changes I have undergone in the past few months. As humans, we tend to be against change, despite the fact that we live in an ever-changing world. This idea in itself fascinates me, but Lesser’s book dives in head first to all kinds of life changes and, what she calls, the Phoenix Process of being reborn out of this overwhelming change. This book is life-changing.
5. The 30 day nutritional cleanse
When Bailey told me he wanted to help people transform their lives by becoming a personal trainer, I didn’t realise that he would be starting with me! A junkie of personal development, kinesiology (and coffee!), I kind of felt like I was at my max with ‘transforming myself’. Seems I was wrong and alongside being his test dummy for all sorts of training I’d never heard of before he started his studies, I also (somewhat reluctantly) agreed to do a 30-day nutritional cleanse.
I wanted to wait and see what the results of the 30 days were, but seriously, after two weeks I have stopped drinking coffee, lost 6cm from my waistline, and I feel amazing.
I’m a firm believer that we transform from the inside and the extra energy and feeling great is almost more exciting than the external results.
I call him the ‘Rogue PT’ for his approach to living a great life instead of killing yourself at the gym and with salad and if you like that style, his posts will probably make you laugh.
You can check out what he’s all about at Healthy PT on the Facebook page.
