Becoming a Beautiful You coach allowed me to leave my career in television, start a business, do life on my terms as a massive introvert, travel, hermit away, basically be in charge of my own schedule… and SO. MUCH. MORE.
Not only that, since I started my business, I have been able to support and witness many other incredible clients join Beautiful You Coaching Academy and go on to launch and grow their own successful coaching businesses.
everything changed when i decided to become a coach
When I first decided to become a coach, I didn’t actually want to be one. I felt like it was the latest trend in business and the courses out there left me feeling uninspired. They didn’t fit. And they didn’t quite feel right to me and the kind of coach I wanted to be.
I had been working in television for a few years – my supposed ‘dream job’ – and I was so unfulfilled and exhausted. I felt like I couldn’t be myself, even starting a lifestyle blog as a creative outlet for how uninspired I was.
A few little nudges from the Universe showed me there was another way, and following those intuitive hits led me down a whole new path.
A new friend told me about a course called B-School – I enrolled immediately. Another friend told me about a coaching academy her coach was putting together on the down low… and I got myself a sneaky copy of the outline (long before the beautiful website and team existed as it does today).
THE STORY
My Beautiful You Journey
How it started…
I was super cheeky to insert myself into Julie Parker’s invitation-only Beautiful You Coaching Academy pilot round.
I remember sitting in front of her (on Skype, yep, before Zoom was even a thing) and telling her I HAD to be in this program and asking what I needed to do be part of it.
I can probably thank my TV career for my boldness, because that was the only way I knew how to get the job (thanks, extroverted TV friends for the life lesson). But the call ended with an invitation to join Beautiful You and completely change the trajectory of my life.
How it’s going…
Becoming a Beautiful You Certified Coach has been one of the most life changing and transformative experiences – not just because I have a business that I love but because of the community, friends, opportunities, and personal growth that has come since joining the course.
Some of the things that came out of my Beautiful You training include:

- Learning the skills necessary to support my clients through their own transformation.
- Feeling confident to start working with paying clients before even finishing the course.
- Growing a full time business in my first year.
- Getting the support from Julie to be the best coach I could possibly be.
- Coaching 100s of trainees and new coaches as one of the first Beautiful You Trainers and a proud ambassador for Beautiful You.
- Seeing my incredible clients go on to become successful coaches in their own right.

Incredible Community
The Beautiful You Community is the most heart-felt, friendly, generous group of people I’ve ever met and worked with. I’ve made lifelong friends, collaborators, clients, and teachers from being part of this wonderful group.
Events and Awards
As a part of the Beautiful You community, you get to take part in global Inspiration Days and the annual Beautiful You awards, mostly based in Australia but also in cities such as Paris, London, New York, and Vancouver.
Unique Opportunities
I’ve had the honour of speaking at Beautiful You events in New York, Melbourne, and Brisbane, be on the cover of and write for Inspired Coach Magazine, as well as collaborate with fellow Beautiful You coach & alumni.
since starting my business, no one has ever told me i’m ‘too quiet’ or that being a coach doesn’t ‘suit my personality’.
If you’re also a quiet, sensitive soul, you might have endured that already in your school and work-life. I certainly did in my television career.
My being introverted, highly sensitive and deeply intuitive has NEVER been a factor in my coaching business or my involvement in Beautiful You.
