You might have noticed (if you got spammed by me on Instagram) that a couple of weeks ago, I ran away to New York.

The purpose? To attend the first ever Beautiful You Inspiration Day in one of my favourite cities with some of the other certified coaches and trainees. It was one of those ‘pinch me’ moments.

When I went to New York a couple of years ago, it was just before training to become a life coach and starting my own business and I thought it would be a while before I got to go back. But to be in that amazing city, funded by my business, and in the presence of these wonderful people, I realised something I’d been hiding from.

This ‘dream life’ thing has actually become a reality.

And it took a week in New York to truly realise that (and, also, that I definitely need to practise gratitude back home a little more!)

With an inspirational keynote from the Beautiful You Coaching Academy CEO and head trainer herself, Julie Parker opened the day with a bang before introducing Selena Soo and Tanya Geisler to blow us away with their wisdom (I’ll be sharing some of my favourite lessons from them in future posts, so stay tuned!)

After that, we got the chance to hear from two different panels by coaches who are killing it right now (I even got sweet talked into standing up in front of the room briefly).

But the thing that was most exceptional?

Being surrounded by women who are out there DOING things. It didn’t matter that we are all in various stages of our coaching careers. Spending the day with women from all over the globe, who all have one dream – to lift other women and to change the work – was one of the most powerful things I have ever experienced.

Yep, what a day. And I believe there will be many more like this to come – both in Australia, and in other wonderful locations around the world.
